There used to be only three things that never fail to make me cry:
- Oscar-winner speeches
- This fucking Google commercial
- The first 5 minutes of UP (Note: DAMMIT why did I just watch this on my birthday!?)
Now I can add one more to the list…
When I get emails like this:
2 years ago I started The Essential Man because I was burnt out as a fashion designer.
I wanted something that took me away from ghost designing shit I hated just to pay the bills.
I needed an escape from the dark, hot sewing factories in Midtown Manhattan.
The Essential Man is not a typical fashion blog.
You’ll be hard pressed to find a photo of “what I’m wearing today” on the website. I’ve never run an ad or sponsored post.
It’s always been about helping guys become the best versions of themselves. Style is an amazing, effective catalyst for that.
The Essential Man motto is that “When you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, good things happen.” Messages like Ki’s remind me that I’m going in the right direction.
Today there’s no nudge to sign up for my newsletter.
There’s no bonus to download.
Today I just want to express my gratitude and thank all my Essential Man readers for giving me one of the best birthday gifts ever:
A sense of purpose.
